McCain's Recent Comments Have Granite Staters Wondering: How Patriotic is New Hampshire?
How Do We Rank?

John McCain arrives in Manchester one day after declaring western
Pennsylvania the "most patriotic part of America"

(Manchester
, NH) Just one day after John McCain called western Pennsylvania, "the most patriotic part of America," Granite Staters are wondering how they would rank on McCain's scale of patriotism? Just how patriotic is New Hampshire?

At a rally before thousands of supporters yesterday outside of Pittsburgh, McCain said, "I couldn't agree with you more than the fact that western Pennsylvania is the most patriotic, most God-loving, most patriotic part of America, and this is a great part of the country."

"If John McCain is going to travel this country ranking patriotism, I think we're all wondering how he'll rank New Hampshire as he travels the state today.  Are we less patriotic in the Granite State than they are in Western Pennsylvania?" asked Colin Van Ostern, Director of the New Hampshire Democratic Coordinated Campaign. "John McCain and the Republican Party continue to try to create a divide among Americans.  Now, they are trying to carve out the regions of our country according to who is more patriotic.  Here in New Hampshire we honor our freedoms and fight hard to protect them.  These divisive tactics simply won't work in the Granite State."
