Low-turnout across Manchester

MANCHESTER-- The New Hampshire secretary of state predicted a low turnout and so far the voters have obliged.

At 8:30 a.m. in Ward 1, 289 voters had voted, out of 6,398 registered voters. While in Ward 8 at 9:30 a.m., 262 voters had cast their ballots; there are 5,790 registered voters in the ward.

"It's been a little slower than normal," Dianne Beaton, Ward 1 election clerk, told PolitickerNH.com.

Albertine Morrissette, Ward 8 moderator, said that the weather could play a factor in the turning out voters.

"I think it will deter people if we have thunderstorms, we already have a low turnout and it will make it lower," Morrissette said. "Hopefully, people are trying to come out and vote before it starts to rain out."

Thunderstorms are predicted for this afternoon.

Weak

Pretty sad that Bradley is hoping for a suppressed voter turnout in order to win. Sad, but not surprising.
